Privacy policy
Who we are
Houston Sewer Repair (sewerrepairhouston.com) is a free guide site for homeowners in Houston, TX and nearby towns. This policy explains what information the site collects, why, who it is shared with and how to have it removed. Questions go to hello@sewerrepairhouston.com.
Information you give us
When you fill in the estimate form we receive the details you type: your name, phone number, the job address and your message, along with the page you sent it from. When you call the number on this site and leave a voicemail, we receive your phone number and the recording of your message. We only collect what you choose to send.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, the servers that deliver this site record basic technical details with each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page visited. Form submissions store the IP address and browser type to help us block spam. Our hosting provider may also keep anonymous, aggregated traffic statistics (for example, how many people visited a page).
How we use it
We use your details to respond to your request: to pass it to the local contractor who can quote the job, to call or text you back about it, and to keep a record that the request was received. We also use technical details to keep the site secure and to stop spam and abuse. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build marketing profiles.
Who we share it with
Your request is shared with the independent local contractor we work with in your area so they can contact you and provide a quote. We also rely on service providers that process data on our behalf to run the site: website hosting and storage, our phone and voicemail service, and our email delivery service. They may only use the data to provide those services to us. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we may disclose information if required by law.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies and does not show ads. Your browser may store small technical files needed for the site to load quickly and securely. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings without affecting how the guides work.
How long we keep it
We keep estimate requests and voicemails only as long as needed to respond to them and keep reasonable business records, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@sewerrepairhouston.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you no longer want to be contacted about a request, tell us and we will stop.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the whole site and access controls on stored requests. No method of sending or storing data over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Links to other sites
Our guides link to other websites, such as city and county pages. We are not responsible for how those sites handle information, so please read their privacy policies.
Children
This site is meant for adult homeowners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
